CC&R Update
We want to recognize and thank Tom Purvis for taking the lead on updating the CC&R’s. This is a huge task and must be finalized and passed to protect our beautiful community.

EMWD AD #19
Update
EMWD is on track to break ground for our water system this summer. EMWD predicts that their final engineering design will be completed in April–May 2003.  Public hearings will be scheduled for June or July followed by bond funding.  Requests for construction bids will go out in May or June.  Award of the construction contract is targeted for July with a construction start date of August 2003. If you have questions concerning the AD-19A water system construction such as costs, bond interest rates, etc.; please forward them in writing to C. Jaschek through Ralston Management or to EMWD’s Debra Haskell.

Road Maintenance
Good News and
Bad News?
The good news is February and March brought us much needed rain allowing us to finally do some grading that made a difference.  The bad news is the rain also caused some severe road damage especially in graded areas due to significant run off. If you see any road damage that needs our attention, please report it to Ralston Management at 909-296-9030. The road committee has also sent out requests for bidding on new traffic/road signs for the community. We anticipate awarding the contract this month with the new signs to follow shortly after.
  Join a new club to
protect our
native habitat!
Why grow native plants?? I know it can be scary…the dry shanks and Buckwheat that shroud our hills. What if there’s a fire? On the other hand we have experienced first hand what damage run off will cause when clear-cutting our property. Preserving the natives in our hills is important to me. Have you considered the concept of using
California natives in your landscape? The benefits are many but here are just a few:

No soil preparation
No fertilizing, cultivating or irrigation
Pruning is minimal

Esthetically we can keep our community a natural, wilderness area and save the oaks and manzanita (as well as ceanothus, redberry, scrub oaks, sugarbush and more) that are nor prevalent. We need to be aware and take the necessary steps or it will be lost to development and the clearing of our native land. If planting natives interests you…let’s connect.

NEW RGO Web Site
in the works!
Thanks to Derek and Catherine Richell, we will soon be launching a community web site!!  The Richell’s have volunteered to be the webmasters for the site. For those non-computer folks it means they will be continually updating the site with new content.  The web site offers our community so many benefits including:
-  A marketing tool to introduce our
community to the real estate community
-  Easy access to association forms and   regulations
-  Very inexpensive avenue to
  communicate
-  A place to share ideas, pictures and
discuss our community with friends and
  loved ones.

There are so many more I could take a whole page!! Be sure you have an email address and access to the internet or you will be missing out on so much. We are looking for ideas and input from the community for web page content. Get involved with this exciting project!  Once we launch the site, we will inform the association of our internet web site address.  Stay tuned!!

Get involved in
YOUR Community
We regret to inform the community, Joe Kenitzer informed the board at the last BOD meeting he must step down immediately due to personal reasons.  The BOD would like to take a moment to thank Joe for his many years of service as a board member.  Joe had dedicated many years and countless hours to make our community what it is today.  We will miss him and wish him well in all his endeavors.
Joe’s departure opens up the “member-at-large” board seat.  If you, or someone you know, would like to fill this important position, please contact any of the board members.
We desperately need more input from our association on critical issues we are now facing. These decisions will directly effect the value of your property so we urge you to get involved. Call any of the board members if you have an interest in any of the following:

CC&R Hearing Committee (3)
